In 1980, a brand-new restaurant chain named CHI-CHI’s contracted designer Jeanette Brewer to create the interiors for their restaurants. Within seven years she and her company , The Design Group, Inc., would complete over 100 CHI-CHI’s across the eastern United States.  from this relationship The Design Group gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in contract restaurant design, leading to numerous construction and renovation projects for McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Studebaker’s, Pizzeria Uno’s, El Torito’s, Buckehead’s and Dillon’s Steakhouses.

In the 1990s The Design Group began focusing more on the growing hotel industry. Their unique blend of inspired design talent, deep understanding of logistics,  and rigorous adherence to budgets and construction timetables has won them many contracts with Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Select, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Quality Inn, Comfort Inn and Ramada Inn. The Design Group takes great pride in the relationships they have with their clients, and the successful businesses and increased profits they help create. Most work is repeat business and The Design Group has won many industry awards. The Design Group, Inc. is an “approved” interior design company for Intercontinental Hotel Group and for the Hilton Hotel Corporation.
